Focus in your photo feed or use fixed pillars

Post by bappy8 »

Go for a style in your photo feed: light, dark, industrial, colorful. Develop a visual language for all your social media, that is a broader version of your corporate identity. You include in it what style your photography or cinematography is, how letters on images look, but also what not to do.

Think in formats when you don't choose a subject. For example, always post a photo on #vintagefriday , #meatlessmonday or come up with a number of fixed pillars on fixed days. Handy for yourself to be able to work ahead and handy for your followers for recognition. Magazines have not become known for nothing by their most famous sections, think of Anybody in VIVA or the big "BN'er interviews BN'er" in LINDA.

Is there also a need for focus for well-known brands?
There are exceptions when it comes to successful brands that have chosen a broader approach (in terms of topic and telegram data target audience), but these are brands or people that are already very well-known among their target audience(s). You see this with influencers : they start with a certain focus ( gaming , beauty , fashion ) and usually one channel (YouTube, Instagram). And once they grow, they can talk about any topic. Their followers are huge fans and want to know everything.

But of course you still need focus if you want to grow: a focus on a certain design or a strong story that appeals to many people. Many popular lifestyle magazines ( &C , LINDA ) on Instagram are a good example of this. They talk about many different subjects, the target group is quite broad but their visual language and tone of voice are always spot on .
