Many things, but what surprised me at first was that without marketing and communication, potential buyers don't know you and therefore don't buy from you. It seems obvious now, but when I started in this world, I had no idea how important this fact was.

What are the specific characteristics of the school publishing sector when it comes to communication?
It's a somewhat peculiar sector, since the person who buys the books doesn't decide; rather, it's the teacher who adopts a book, the parents who buy it, and finally, the students who use it... The chain is quite different from a product aimed at end consumers.

During your 13 years with the company, how have you experienced the evolution of the importance given to online and offline communication within the company's communications strategy?
It's been a radical venezuela mobile database change in society, but from my perspective, it's taken companies a long time to realize this dramatic shift. Company directors aren't always convinced of the importance of online communication, and I've personally had to dig deep in this regard, hehehe.

Did you implement transmedia strategies? Could you give us some examples?
Yes, for example, with the book collection Agus and the Monsters, by Jaume Copons and Liliana Fortuny. We launched with a website, social media, and a contest, in addition to holding physical events with the authors in schools, bookstores, and book fairs, and a massive campaign of interviews and media appearances. We built a large following to whom we were able to implement an email marketing strategy with the goal of building reader loyalty.

Why did you decide to take our Advanced Technical Course in Email Marketing, Affiliation and CRM ?
Basically to expand my knowledge, at the publishing house I was in charge of newsletters and I realized I didn't know enough about it.

Last November, you joined the communications team at L'Auditori de Barcelona, the most important public music center in Catalonia. How did this opportunity come about?
I saw the ad online and it immediately caught my attention. The music industry appealed to me greatly, and I thought it was an opportunity to grow professionally and discover a new world.

What responsibilities does your new position entail, and how do you think what you learned in the Email Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and CRM course will help you in this new phase?
At L'Auditori, we're a team of four product managers, each of whom is responsible for planning and executing the communication campaigns for the music series assigned to us. This requires a 360-degree view of the entire process. Newsletters play a very important role at L'Auditori, with a huge buyer database where segmentation is essential for successful ticket sales. So, taking the course is helping me tremendously in implementing and planning the email marketing strategy to fill the venues with people.
