Tell us about your work.
M: I currently work for a non-profit organization, primarily designing and laying out their two magazines: one for children and one for staff members. I also design corporate materials and other everyday items as they arise.
What's the challenge in the designs and layouts of your work? What's the overriding message given that this is an institution focused on helping others?
M: The challenge… trying to chile mobile database convey the message in a way that's understandable and engaging, so they'll be hooked and eager to read the next issue. The message depends on the work, but we could unify it: with everyone's help, a more just and supportive world is possible.
What role do new information technologies play in non-profit and related organizations?
M: Well, in our case, it's an organization that's been around for many years, and we're evolving little by little. We're adapting to new technologies as best we can, but we're seeing how they bear fruit.
So, is the way they communicate changing?
M: Yes, until very recently, the most important thing was postal mailings (traditional direct marketing), and now we're on the way to digitizing that direct marketing and taking advantage of new digital platforms , not only to capture but also to raise awareness. Email marketing and social media have become very important.
