A special assessment by the district stations has just been completed for the "Carmel" storm, which is expected to arrive tomorrow morning. This morning, the district commander conducted remove background image operational readiness checks for the district stations and confirmed the readiness of the fighters, with an emphasis on water rescue equipment and means, such as lifeboats, high-capacity "Tetra" vehicles, suits, and more.
In addition, he directed the holding of field tours to plan proactive roadblocks for vehicles and the closure of parking lots in areas prone to flooding, and strengthened cooperation with allied forces from local authorities, the Israel Police, and volunteer units in the district.
District Commander Tafsar Hezi Levy: "In light of the stormy weather, the public is asked to avoid non-essential travel, as well as not to stay in rivers and areas that may be flooded, and to obey the instructions of emergency bodies."
