Digital content also played a role in making people more skilled and comfortable readers, although the material has come at rapid pace. We are now (at least most of us) with a cultured group of readers, which entrepreneurs are working to harness well.
These days everyone has an e-book to sell, but my interest is not in how people are making a profit from the written word; it is in how you as an entrepreneur can benefit from the increase in reading. As an entrepreneur, it is your obligation to be an educated mind. To understand the issues of the day, you must be able to connect the ideas and encourage your staff to do the same. Not having an entrepreneurial spirit does not make you an entrepreneur, it only makes you a corporate worker (who may own a business or two, but is not in it for anything more than the money).
An entrepreneur, on the other hand, tends to want to create something. This requires imagination – imagination fueled by reading.
